In the 5th construction update of our Rio section there is no longer much talk of a construction site. Because Rio is finished 🙂 At least the part that we built together with the Martínez family in Argentina. So the last weeks were all about dismantling, packing up and saying goodbye. On Monday, November 2, 2020, the time had come: Three 12-meter flatbed semitrailers picked up the 24 boxes with a total weight of more than 6,000 kilograms and a total volume of 82 cubic meters.
Barely a week later, on November 10, 2020, Rio finally made its way to its home port of Hamburg. Anyone who is curious and wants to know how the crossing is going can follow the container ship MS Palak virtually here.
Before we take you behind the scenes of the shipping challenge in a new episode of “How to build South America”, we have put together a few impressions of the exciting day of transportation for you.
